MOMO MACHINE
FORMAT: INTERACTIVE DIGITAL ARCHIVE
DATE: WINTER 2024
TYPE: INDEPENDENT PROJECT
ROLE: UI/UX DESIGNER & VISUAL DESIGNER & FRONT-END DEVELOPER
Momo Machine is an interactive digital work created for UCLA’s Design | Media Arts Network Media class.
Drawing from a short survey about personal tastes and traits, the project turns each participant’s responses into a one-of-a-kind beverage can inside a virtual vending machine. Every can becomes an unique portrait — a visual echo of the self.
Rather than just a playful interface, the piece offers a quiet space to recognize and appreciate individuality: how each of us carries a distinct mix of experiences, and how, together, these differences form a larger, shared landscape.
